Parents were invited by the Mesrobian Armenian Catholic High School to be present for an enriching lecture-talk “How can I follow up on my child’s learning in my house”, which took place on May 30, 2018. The talk was given by the representative of the “Waznat”, a pioneering institution for Career Counseling and Professional Orientation in Lebanon. The talk centered on the problems that parents face when following up on their children’s homework, and on the methods that help them do this task successfully.

At the end of this academic cycle, Mesrobian signed a cooperation agreement with “Waznat”, aiming to improve the students’ academic level, to strengthen the teachers’ knowledge, and to be helpful in building better communication in the child-parent relations. Under this agreement, the following points will be our guide:

1. An orientation program in the Academic and Technical Education, for secondary school students.

2. Curriculum for developing family relations and self-help, for grade 7, 8, 10, and 11 students.

3. “Child-Parent” Relations Teaching and learning program for parents.

4. Teacher training intensive program.

This educational-disciplinary program is held under the umbrella of the school’s administration’s latest initiatives, in the lead up to the school’s 80th anniversary.
