Every year, the first big event, following the start of the school year, is dedicated to the feast of the Holy Translators that represents an exceptional national- ecclesiastical value. On this occasion, our grandfathers of Golden Age, who had created the Armenian alphabet and translated the Bible, are venerated.

On October 24, the students of primary and secondary classes celebrated during two separate events the memories of St. Mesrob, St. Sahag and their contributor pupils through songs, recitations and theatrical representation. During the opening speeches, the students mentioned that our language, which has become the Armenian people’s support and has survived different storms, has astonished the foreigners with its richness, flexibility and beauty. However, today, as a consequence of different factors, the Armenian language is regressing and our Armenian profile is seriously endangered. Therefore, it is the duty of the students attending Armenian school to cling to our faith and protect our language.’’

During both events, Main Speaker Father Sebouh Garabedian and Mesrobian’s Principal Gregoire Kalousd delivered speeches. They presented the Holy Translators as examples of piety, loving the church, patriotism, studiousness, diligence and dedication, exhorting the students to follow their conduct for the progress of the Armenian Church and nation.
