Twelve 7th graders of Mesrobian High School received their certificates of ‘Student Mediator’’, after graduating from the homonymous course organized by Beirut's St. Joseph (USJ) University.

The ceremony of awarding the certificates took place at "Farajian" Hall of the school, in the presence of the manager of above-mentioned project, Dr. Johanna Houary Bourjeily, and the coordinator of the same program in the schools of Beirut, Miss Tamar Tufenkjian.

The "Student Mediator" program is being implemented in Mesrobian since 3 years. Its goal is to train the students to solve problems, especially in their friends’ circle, thus becoming effective actors in the settlement of interpersonal relationships. Thus far, 120 students of Mesrobian have participated in this course, of which 39 have received a certificate.

Dr. Bourjeily highly appreciated in his speech the engagement of Mesrobian’s administration, which is promoting through professional mode the development of the students’ social role. In addition, he valued the students’ diligence in the courses.

Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, in his turn, expressed his gratitude to the concerned center of USJ for the education of the students at a high level and emphasized that Mesrobian will continue to collaborate with the university, both in students’ and in the teachers’ development programs.
