On Saturday, 13th of June, 2009, at 7:00PM, the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School held the Kindergarten End of Year Celebration for the KG2 class
and Graduation Celebration for KG3 class
At first, the KG3 students stepped up on stage, and performed the Armenian, Lebanese and Mesrobian anthems. After that, they invited Mr. Gregoire Kaloust
, the principal of Mesrobian High School, to address his speech to the audience.
In his speech, the principal stated: "Starting today, these students will no longer be called Kindergarten students. They are armed mentally and spiritually for a long academic journey towards higher diplomas, to bring honor to their families and to this educational institution."
Addressing his speech to the parents, Mr. Gregoire thanked them all for the confidence they have shown by entrusting their children to Mesrobian Kindergarten. Then, he revealed to them the Renovated Mesrobian Kindergarten operation, of which the foundation stone
has already been laid of.
Turning towards the teachers, he congratulated and thanked them all, for the wonderful program they have prepared for the evening and the selfless efforts they have provided throughout the year. He then thanked Mrs. Maria Boejekian
, the head-teacher of Mesrobian Kindergarten, for giving away the best 25 years of her life in order to serve Mesrobian Kindergarten.
Following that, the Kindergarten students performed dancing, singing and poetry recitation, a program that lasted around two hours. The audience enjoyed the artistic program, interactively, and with of joy and happiness. At the end of the program, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust and Mrs. Maria Beujekian ceremoniously distributed the diplomas to the graduating kindergarten KG3 students. During this ceremony, it was noticeable the absence of Msgr. Father Vartan Ashkarian
, for medical reasons. His absence "is only physical, and he is with us through his prayers" - said Mr. Gregoire.
