On Tuesday, 28th of December, 2010, following the opening ceremony of �Alice Nerguizian� Nursery in Mesrobian College, the Catholicos Patriarch of the Armenian Catholics of Cilicia, Nerses Bedros XIX decorated Mr. Varouj Nerguizian with the St. Gregory the Illuminator Patriarchal Medal of Honor. This special ceremony was held in the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate, in Jehtawi, Ashrafieh.


A cozy dinner with the Nerguizian family followed the decoration ceremony. During the dinner, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, the principal of Mesrobian College, expressed his appreciation and admiration to Mr. Varouj Nerguizian by saying: �You are not a multi-millionaire, yet you are rich from within. For you are content with what you have, and you know how to share it with the needy.�
