On November 10, the Armenian Catholic Mesrobian High School hosted the Representative of the Bible Society in the Middle East, Dr. Hrayr Jebejian, who, on this occasion, granted 340 students aged 7 to 12 the ‘Bible Explained to Children’, recently published in Armenian.
Dr. Jebejian had a meeting with Mesrobian’s Principal, Mr. Gregoire Kaloust, and the school’s chaplain, Reverend Father Raffi Hovhannessian, during which issues related to the Christian upbringing of Armenian children and the spread of the Bible were tackled.
The distinguished guest toured the various departments of Mesrobian and got acquainted with the educational activities and programs of the school, greatly appreciating the success of the administration and the teaching staff in maintaining Mesrobian as a high-level institution. He personally introduced the ‘Bible Explained to Children’ to the students, highlighting a number of its features that help understanding the word of God in a more simple and clear way.
The General Secretary of the Bible Society in the Arabian Gulf, Dr. Hrayr Jebejian, is a remarkable writer and publicist who has a dynamic and liable activity for decades in spreading the Bible on the international and Pan-Armenian levels. The Bible Society itself is a large international organization operating in more than 200 countries.
